Accessibility statement
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use this website comfortably, including people with disabilities. Making the site accessible is part of building it properly, and where the law of your country requires it, we aim to comply with that too.
The standard we follow
This website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, published by the W3C. We checked it ourselves with scripted checks (colour contrast, headings, landmarks, form labels, ARIA references, touch-target sizes, and layout at phone width and with larger text) and by testing with a keyboard.
What has been done
- The whole site can be used with a keyboard (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter and Space), with a clearly visible focus outline.
- A "Skip to main content" link is the first item when you press Tab.
- Pages have one main heading and a logical heading order, labelled landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and breadcrumbs on inner pages. A "Page not found" page helps you find your way back.
- Text and background colours meet AA contrast requirements, and information is never carried by colour alone.
- The layout adapts to phones, tablets and computers, and the page can be zoomed to 200% or more without losing content.
- Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked, and errors are written out in text, marked on the field, and move focus to the field that needs attention.
- The comparison charts have a text summary and a full data table, and can be explored with the arrow keys.
- Animation is minimal. It is switched off automatically if your device asks for reduced motion, and the animated example in the page header can be paused.
- An accessibility menu (the round button at the bottom left of every page) lets you enlarge text, switch to high contrast, highlight links, use a plainer, more readable font, or reduce motion. Your choices are remembered on your device.
Known limitations
- This site has not yet been reviewed by an independent accessibility specialist, and we have not yet tested it with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver. We plan to do both.
- The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. It is a Cloudflare product, designed to be operable by keyboard and screen reader, but we cannot control how it behaves for every assistive technology. If it blocks you, please tell us through another route if you have one.
- The interactive charts on the "Why a team" page are visual summaries. The same numbers are in the data table beneath them.
- The site is in English only.
- High contrast and readable-font modes replace the site's colours and typefaces, so some decorative styling is lost by design.
Feedback and contact
If anything on this site is hard to use, or you need information in another format, please tell us and we will do our best to help and to fix the problem. Use the contact form and choose "Accessibility feedback". It helps if you include the page you were on, what went wrong, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you were using.
